Microworlds

5M has moved on to our next Science unit- Microworlds. As a class we started with properties of a magnifier and have recently looked and identified mystery items that the students brought in! What has been the coolest part about microscopes? What do you think would be a cool specimen to look at? Remember just because the microworlds are small, that doesn't mean your posts should be!

Human Body Bee at Clarke University

On April 20 the Carver 5th grade traveled to Clarke along with the district wide 5th grades. While there were a lot of students there, we still had a lot of fun! We bounced on giant balls, we ran relays, we touched brains, and so much more! What was your favorite part about our day? Did you learn anything new?

6th Grade Jitters

YAY the year is almost over and next year our 5M class will be continuing on to middle school! What you most excited for? How have the things we are doing in class prepared you for this new experience? What are you most nervous about?

MS. MURRAY'S AND MS. MOORE'S CARVER 5TH GRADE CLASSROOM WELCOMES YOU TO OUR BLOG!

5M will be improving our writing skills throughout the Spring 2012 semester with the use of this blog. Students will be posed questions by the teachers, in which they will respond to during our Guided Reading Rotations. Students will have the oppurtunity to write thier own pieces for the blog, which can then be easily shared with other students, parents, and teachers.
