6th Grade Excitement

As 5M prepares to move on past Carver, the students are getting to know what life in middle school will be like. During the last couple of months of spring as a class we will be learning all about life in 6th grade. We have created this part of the blog to give the students the oppurtunity to share in writing about our preparation including visitors from Roosevelt, as well as the upcoming open house.

  1. 6th grade is well, making me nervous but also really excited! I really can't wait for it. I don't mean that i don't like Miss Murray or Miss Moore but i really want to have my own locker!

    2. Yeah, I'm with you Lizzy and I recommend to everyone even myself not to get into too much activities. If you get into too many you might miss a lot of class time and you might have to take a test that you didn't know about. That's why Miss Murray said to have friends in all classes so you can ask them if you have any homework or if you need to study for a test

    3. Emily Sear, I have a question before I talk about 6th grade, why do you keep writing who else before your name?? Anyway...I am also a little nervous about middle school but i think i will be alright.

    4. I agree with Hannah, why do you do that??? And I know we will all make it. Also, if the older kids call us "scrubbies" don't be offended, they are just jealous that we will be at Roosevelt after they already left!!! :)

    5. I don't know why. Also about 6th grade I agree with Lizzy! We will be there after they left we will learn their stories!!!! Also 6th grade will be awesome!(I think!) But be open to make new friends and because we all were from other schools in preschool, K or older we all should have old friends too. Don't be shy to ask someone in your favorite class, or subject what they like to do or if they are in like band, choir, or after school classes. They may become your best friend when you are an adult.

    6. I agree with Lizzy and Hannah, I'm puzzled why Emily S. does that, I asked her and she said," I don't know". Well about 6th grade, I'm a little nervous about the first day of middle school. I ride on a bus and when we get off of the bus it seems confusing and how will we get our books (and everything) in our locker and get ready for the class? How will we know what to get for our class? I'm really nervous (if you can't see).

    8. I agree with Hannah. I'm excited to go to a new school, have new teachers instead of being in the same classroom all day! Now that I've seen it now I'm not as nerves. Because its all in one little area where all your classes are in. So I'm excited.(:

    9. Ok, I really agree with everyone with everything. I'm especially agree with Hannah! Also on the first day of school I want to get my locker combo right. That's the biggest fear of 6th grade for me. Can someone tell me about that one friday that the 6th graders came (including my bro). What did they do???????????

  2. I think 6th grade will be a lot funner than 5th grade. because instead of staying in 1 classroom all day and only having 1 teacher you have a lot more.

  3. I am so excited for sixth grade so I will meet a lot of different varieties of teachers. We will get to be independent and we wont be in one classroom for the whole day. It will be awesome when we get our locker combination's for both P.E. and our regular lockers.
