Famous Black American Writing Project

This writing project is a follow up to our study of the Civil Rights Movements.  The 5M students are now choosing a Famous Black American to research and write about.  Through this project, they will discover many facts and stories that impacted that persons life.  They will present this project as a magazine article that entitles a short biography about the famous person.  In this section of Tales of 5th Grade, the students will make an entry about why they choose this person and what they want to learn.
